Metaphysics is the combination of two words: meta and physics. Metaphysics means going beyond your mind, and beyond any limited beliefs about what you can or cannot do.
Metaphysics asks the student to look at their reactions to events. It asks the student to look within, not to make other peoples’ behaviour the focus of your attention. An example of a reaction is when you get upset or angry because of what (you believe) another person thinks of you. To look within, a student looks at their weaknesses, their insecurities and works on overcoming them.
When we are angry or upset, we don’t need to judge or criticise others. We cannot force others to do or think what we want, because, putting it simply, you don’t like being forced. If you are judging or criticising others, that means you are judging or criticising yourself.
Love yourself and others and help yourself and others. Show yourself, and others that you care. Show people the goodness inside of you. Be kind. Life is about living. Life is about working on achieving your goals. And a goal of overcoming your limited beliefs is a worthwhile goal to strive for.
