The doorway to success is breathing. The ability of our lungs to breathe deeply is the
pathway to feeling calmer. Breathing deeply will mean there is more oxygen to your brain,
to increase its capacity, to strengthen your nervous system and immune system. Practising
breathing allows you to create new neural pathways which can help to respond to your
goals. A healthy person breathes deeply.
Lungs are linked to the metal element. The metal element is linked to Autumn: lungs
represent letting go of the past and starting anew. Therefore, deep breathing can mean
starting over again, breathing in life. Emotions are not stable, so they cannot be relied upon.
Lungs respond to the heart and emotions, so when you are stressed, you will breathe in
short, shallow breaths. Breathing deeply will bring calm and through feeling calm, you can
start to think rationally. When there is more oxygen circulating throughout your body, there
is less clutter in your mind, you feel clearer and lighter.
Your breathing is extremely important. Practise breathing every day. Rewrite, rebuild and
re-organise your life by focusing on the ancient tradition of meditation which teaches
specific breathing techniques.
